The Mayor welcomed Members of the Coromandel Peninsula Blueprint Political Steering Group and staff in attendance.

That the Coromandel Peninsula Blueprint Political Steering Group

1. Confirm the minutes of the previous meeting held 16 February 2009.

   Report and recommendations from Blueprint Draft Preferred Future Workshop 1 and 2 

 

To confirm outcomes of Political Steering Group (PSG) workshop 1 and 2.

 

Discussion points

Prior to the formal Blueprint Political Steering Group Meeting, a workshop was held with the main topic being Defining our Objectives. 

Discussion focused on the terminology used in the report around ‘allocation’ of space and technical officers were instructed to discuss more appropriate wording.

 

 

 

 

Resolved

That the Coromandel Peninsula Blueprint Political Steering Group

1.          Receive the report.

2.          Confirms that the draft long-term outcome statements appropriately reflect the discussion had at its 16 February 2009 workshop.

3.          Confirms that the draft long-term outcome statements will set the direction of the Blueprint preferred future.

4.          Confirms the direction provided on developing a Blueprint framework at its 9 March 2009 workshop.

5.          Instructs technical officers to proceed with developing a draft Blueprint Preferred Future which reflects the draft long-term outcome statements and the direction provided for consideration at its next meeting.
